The annotated bibliography will provide you with much of the research you’ll need for this essay, but you’ll find that you continue to conduct research while you’re writing. You will need to incorporate 8 credible sources into your final draft.
In your essay you will argue for a position on your topic. You will use various paragraph types and weave together various types of argument in service of your main argument. You will need to appropriately organize the essay to prove your main argument and maintain your audience’s interest. You will use rhetorical strategies in order to create a compelling argument.
Your ultimate goal is to persuade your audience to consider your position, even if they do not ultimately change their position. Your essay must address all sides of the argument.
Most arguments today utilize visuals as a way to develop or strengthen their points. You will create at least one visual for your essay—a chart, a graph, a mock-up, a photo narrative, an advertisement, an artist’s rendering, etc. You will not be graded on your artistic ability but rather your rhetorical ability.
You must choose a specific audience for this piece. Who will read this essay? Where would this essay appear—a website, a magazine on careers, a blog, an essay for someone who has a similar interest or who doesn’t know anything, etc.?
Your finished essay must be at least 2,500 words and formatted following MLA 8th ed. guidelines.
You must find and correctly cite 8 credible sources.
You must include direct quotations, paraphrase, and summary.
You must create an image to include as part of your argument.
You must include a cover letter that explains your writing process.

Those are pretty much the instructiuons. I chose for my topic to be on why water is wasted on grass lawns and how it is america’s most irrigated crop. There are many alternatives or better yet start a graden.
